Use a volt meter battery voltage engine off? Engine running voltage on B+ large red wire and vlotage on small red wire at terminal connector? Is charge light on with key on before you start and does it go out?

The auto zoner wasnt helpful with the answers to ur questions. He said that the battery was very weak when engine was off and thought it wouldnt crank but it did. Stated that alternator isnt charging at all. There was no charging light on when key was on before starting car.
