1995 Chevy Lumina Altenator wont charge battery

1995 Chevy Lumina 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

my car wouldnt start so had to jump off battery. 2 days later went dead again, so had battery charged. Drove 85 miles and car went dead in middle of road. Bought new battery. Went dead again. Changed altenator. When u start car u can see that the power kicks up and down every 2 minutes. Cd player wont work. Head lights flicker. Changed altenator second time but car still runs off of battery power. What's wrong with my car?

Hello, use a digital multimeter, do some tests. With the engine turned off, take a reading across the battery posts. Start the engine take another reading across the battery posts, the second reading should be higher, if it isn't, take a reading at the alternator bat terminal, if that reading is higher, there maybe an open circuit between the alternator and battery. You can take a reading at the alternator bat terminal, everything turned off, it should show battery voltage?

Does the charge lite on the dash, work ok? Is the alternator new?

Were do I go to get testing? Or how do I test it myself? The battery light works came on 1 time before but not now. Yes altenator was bought at auto zone. I took the first one back because I thought something was wrong with it. But second 1 does the same thing.
