1993 Chevy Lumina 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

The engine on this 1993 lumina has a small knocking sound, an I kind of thought it could be the heads on the engine because also there was white smoke coming out the exaust.

Hello -

Yes - white smoke out the exhaust is a sign of a blown head gasket. Do you have antifreeze in your oil? Check your oil to see if it is gaining and then if it is milky then you have antifreeze in it.

Also, if you are loosing antifreeze then that is another indication.
