I am having a problem with the vehicle cutting out. When the engine is cold, it will start fine. It drives about 1/4 mile and starts cutting out. It backfires and then eventually dies where it then becomes a nightmare to start up again until it cools off. I have changed the map sensor, plugs and wires, coil packs and ignition module, air intake sensor, and water temp sensor without luck. Any suggestions?

Forgot to mention that the fuel pressure was checked and was fine at 38 and also the EGR was changed too. PLUS, there are no codes/check engine light. HELP!

Ok, I would check the catalytic convertor and the crank position sensor, It also sounds like your having some kind of restriction going on here, let me know your findings

Is there a special way to check the cps? I have found it and it looks like a chore to get at. I have a meter and know how to use it!

So if you fuel and spark is good, then there is air restriction, check cam sensor, compression, and knock sensor.
