Could someone please tell me how to replace the door handle rod on my drivers side door. A diagram would be extra helpful. If not available just some directions would surely help this frustrated backyard mechanic

You can order a whole new door handle from partstrain. Com for about $35. Easy to install and they ship in 2 days. It comes with the whole housing for the handle "all the way up to the top of the door".
