1991 Chevy Lumina Car has funny idle

My car starts fine even after dieing but if I drive it for 5 to 10 minutes its starts to idle funny at stops and te check engine light comes on I noticed that all the lights seem to dim when this happens they'll get bright then go dull then brght again I really need help here thanks

Hi:
First, if the check engine light has come on, there is a trouble code storred in the computer. Take the car to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the computer for codes. Most will do it for free, and it should identify the problem.
