1990 Chevy Lumina performance

I have a 1990 chevy lumina euro 3.1 and everytime I try to give it gas it dies, also when I try to force the ecm to set a code it will not set anything any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

There could be a million reasons a car wont start/run. In your case, I would go get diagnostics done on it. Pin point the prob. It almost sounds like bad injectors. But thats just a shot in the dark. Get some codes and start with the basics. Then come back here and ask more accurate questions. Im sure you'll get better help if you have some codes for us. Pep boys and auto zone both will help you out with this, usually for free.
