I have been unable to locate the PCV valve on my 4Runner's engine - I cannot locate it on my engine (per repair manual) - anyone know where it should be?

My Camry manual with the same engine shows it to be on the rear valve cover. To remove it the manual states to pull it out of the grommet in the valve cover. If it does not rattle when shaken, it is clogged with deposits and should be replaced. Hope this helps - Jack

Jack - thanks for the reply - my manual for the 4Runner mentions the same thing, except the hose connection on my right valve cover does not have a grommet nor a PCV valve - hence my quest to uncover where else it could be - Supposedly, a Toyota dealership replaced the valve during a tune-up in 2003; if they truly replaced it, it would make sense it can be located.
