I have a 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix with 130,000 on it. Never has given me a day of trouble. Till now. It tries to start and then stalls out. I am trying to go through what I know and came upon a problem. I cannot find the fuel pump test lead on the 3.1 engine. A friends sent me some info about a green/black wire. But I can find green but not the black! Want to see if it is a fuel pump problem.

You can test that at the tank.

Hello: I have no idea wher the lead is, But if you locate the fuel pump relay, then possibly it is in that area. It may even be taped inside the wiring harness, and you may have to open it up to see it. If taped to the harness look for a fat spot in the harness about the size of a small wire connector. Should be a single wire with a plastic connector on the end of it that is not connected to anything
good luck
Darryl.
