Our 2001 Honda Civic, 82,000 miles, has a gas smell coming from it only when the car is stopped and not driving. Is it safe to drive? The car is having no other symptoms. No noises, no problems. The car has not had any major repairs ever done to it. We're wondering if it could be the fuel injector
Do you

If your smelling burned fuel behind your car when it is stopped it could be running rich

I have this same issue with my 1984 Accord. Could you enlighten me as to what "running rich" means? :
