Fan continues to run

I have a 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager (A very bad purchase), and the radiator fan continues to run after you shut the car off. The only way to get it off is to remove the battery cable. The car doesn’t seem to be overheating. Any ideas except sell the car. Thanks in advance.

1. Change thermo switch (controling on/off fan from temperature of cooling liquid)
2. Put manual switch in cab to turn it on/off manually, but watch temperature gauge-if u forget to turm it on when temperature is high-can overheat
