Car screeching when idling.

My car makes a screeching sound when I am idling or even when I take my foot off the gas. This never happens in the morning only in the afternoon when the car has been out in the sun after work. Any ideas as to what could be wrong?

I have a 2000 Chevy Impala. Belts seem to be fine.

Sounds like a drive belt, pulley or misalignment of belt track
