BMW 325i headlights turn themselves off when I stop

Several days ago at night my headlights started to turn themselves off whenever I stopped at a stop sign. After the car started to move again they came back on. BMW service is looking into this problem but they cannot replicate it. Anybody has any ideas?

Intermittent short. Double check the charging system

Try replacing the headlight control switch.
