2005 Chevy Impala engine rocking

My 2005 chevy impala engine is rocking. When I am working on the engine or have the hood up checking oil or something, I have noticed that when you push the car, the engine rocks alot. It sways back and forth probably about an inch and half. Do I need to have this looked at? The transmission has been replaced twice, but there has never been anything else wrong with it.

If the motor assembly can rock back and forth (or side to side) than most likely the motor mounts have failed and will need to replaced. Since you said the tranny has been replaced, it will be a good idea to have the tranny mount inspected as well.
