When going down the road accelerating the check engine lite blinks and cuts out engine, one time it stored a missfire on # 5, changed out coil and plug the wires are 6 months old. It acts just like if you were in park and reved the motor above 4 grand or the traction control senced wheel spin

Do you have a 3.8L engine with the plastic intake? If you do have the cooling system pressure checked, these intakes get holes in them, when they do the coolant leaks into the lower intake manifold right into #5 cylinder.
