I am hearing a whinning or loud humming noise that is orginating from under the hood. The local Chevy garage believed it was the fuel pump and replaced it. However the noise is still there. It gets lounder the longer the car is driven through the day and it seems to be in the vacinity of the power steering pump and the alternator area
Can you provide some assistance?

Check level of power steering fluid, If low that will make a whine
