2002 CHEVY IMPALA VENTILATION MODE KNOB

Interior problem
2002 Chevy Impala 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 82000 miles

The blower switch, heat and AC all work, but the mode control knob seems to be stuck in one position and air comes from the defrost vent, dash and floor all the time. It does not matter what position I put the control knob in, the air flow never changes.

I have checked all fuses and they were fine.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Carl

Hey if ur having probs with ur mode knob. Just try to pull the knob off and try to turn the pin on the panel where knob was sitting, if ur able to change the mobe by turning the stem then just buy a new knob.

You may want to check the mode door actuator; down on the side of HVAC case; some models have linkage that breaks and falls off
