Engine Mechanical problem
2001 Chevy Impala 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 65,000 miles

Does my Impala have a timing belt or chain? At what point should I consider replacing either one? Thanks.

You have a timing chain that's located behind a metal timing cover on the front of your engine.

The factory recommends you replace it at 60,000 miles.
