2001 Chevy Impala blower motor problems

I was told the control pannel was out on this car I replaced the blower resistor and control pannel twice. The fan will not blow on #5 witch is high speed. After a few day with a new board the stupid thing is like a gohst it does what it wants when it wants to. I have no idea what the problem is or where to look fan relay under hood?

Do you have the original panel still?

IF so re-install it and troubleshoot the problem based on this...(or just do this with the one that is in it.)

Call a shop that has a hand held diagnositc computer to do this much. After this we can go further.
