2001 Chevy Impala 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

my 2001 impala had some high water damage. The starter was broke, I replaced the starter, and now the starter turns but dont engage the flywheel. Starter bench checks o.K.

The starter turns but dont engage the flywheel.

Do you mean you can hear the starter engaged the engine but its not cranking over or it won't crank engine over at all-nothing happens when you turn key to start position? The new starter overrunning clutch could be slipping

You're too far from the flexplate-try using shims. You sure you got the correct starter-double check

Test the fusible link blue 18 gauge that's coming from the remote battery stud. This checked out its gonna come down between the ignition switch and computer.
