Engine Performance problem
1994 Chevy Impala V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 190xxx miles

I had this problem where I would be driving along then all of a sudden the car would die but I was able to restart the car immedately after it died. We played this game for about 3 weeks before it wouldnt start at all. At first I thought it was a vacuum problem so I checked all the vacuum hoses and replaced a few of the hoses, egr, egr solenoid switch, pcv valve, fuel filter. And still the car wont start. I know the car has fuel pressure and the fuel pump works. The only thing that I can track down is the distributor. I have been told that the distributor or optispark is a bad design and usally go out a lot. I am hoping for some insight. Anything will help. Thank you

Check fuel inj resistance with ohm meter should be around 11 ohms, also check for spark, fuel and compression. Check each injector one at a time. Also you need to check fuel pressure. With a gauge.
