Engine Cooling problem
2005 Chevy Express V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

took water pump off, found gasket w slight rust spot, replaced gasket, belts. Still leaks when filling and engine stop. Will replace with new pump. Engine overheats, hot hose coming out the top of radiator when running, no hot air coming out of heater. How do I get coolant into heater core?

Hello and thanks for donating

Not sure what exactly you need help with? Coolant should automatically flow through the heater core. One radiator hose should be hot and other cool, that means radiator is working fine. Have you replaced the pump yet to see if that cured the leak?
