Can I put cooling fan/shroud from 2007 to 2008 chevy equinox ? if no what diferent?

The information we have is a little scetchy, but if the engines and accessories are the same, it should bolt up. Is there a reason why you can't get one for a 2008? And, if it's damaged, wouldn't it be a warranty issue?
