I just got my parking brake adjusted over the weekend. Today while I was driving to work the car began to shake (I thought I had a flat tire) I pulled over and didn't notice anything other than a weird smell. I continued to drive to work and it shook three times. Each time I pulled over it stopped and then it would begin again after driving for about 5 minutes. I think the parking brakes need to be replaced.

Hi,

Replacement of the parking brake shoes isn't too bad. The one thing that adds to the procedure is the removal of the brake caliper and rotor to access the shoes.

I attached directions specific to your vehicle below. The first set of directions show how to replace a brake rotor. This will need to be removed to access the shoes. After the caliper and rotor are removed, then you can replace the shoes. The second set of directions explain that procedure.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have other questions.

Take care,
Joe
