2005 Chevy Equinox shocks and stuts freeze

The temp outside has been in the 20's and below, my equinox has become very bumpy when I drive. Can the temp outside affect it that much?

It can and it can also make the tires stiffer too, this will make it seem like a stiffer suspension. They dont actually freeze, but the strut has oil insde it, and the lower the temp, the thicker the oil gets.
