the inside and outside handles seem to be operating the latch mechanism fine but the door will not open. If I could remove the door panels with the door shut I may have a shot at opening the door. Any hints? Thanks Mark

Mark, with window down, spray some wd 40 or some other penetrating oil down on the lock mechanism inside the door. let sit for a day and lube some more. keep moving the door closed and open even though the door doesn't open push it in. with the penetrating oil and you moving it back and forth it will free up and open. At times with it being a 84 they start to rust up and moving it back and forth usually does the trick.
