I 've been looking for a corvette ever since I joined the military and had to sell mine and found a decent 89 that needs some love the guy who has it sent me this to me it sounds like and ecm but I don't wanna dump tooo much money into it if its worse, since I just got out of the military and im not rolling in the money to buy a money pit of a car. His message>>. The car has no injector pulse. Has new distributor, and fuel injector. Ran rough and stalled one day and never started again

Recently got an 88, ran but had rough idle & would not start when hot. After mechanic tore thur it, the fuel sending unit which includes the fuel pump & is inside the gas tank had rusted badly & screwed up the fuel filter & then the injectors, He had them cleaned & tested for around $160 & one was bad & cost $50. They are Acell injectors & the set of eight was only around $300 ish. They were quite helpful on the phone at Acell. After this change it ran great & started when hot.

Got the fuel sending unit on Ebay for $100 plus s&h, new they are $450 ish.

Labor to get the injectors change was $475.

If you get the gas flowing & have good injectors, plugs, wires, cap, rotor should run. Corvettes just get pricey, there's so much crap on the top of the motor just to get to the injectors. Could give it a go yourself with the OEM manual, also got one on Ebay.

See ya - Rich
