1996 Chevy Corvette Hatch Pops Open when parked

1996 Chevy Corvette V8 Automatic 36000 miles

The rear hatch pops open continuously when the car is parked. Hatch solenoid keeps clicking every 3 seconds. The only way to stop hatch from popping open is to pull the hatch fuse. I replaced the hatch release relay, but that did not fix. Any idea how to troubleshoot?

On the driver's door there is a slide switch that could be caught or shorted. Just a possibility, some people think the one in the console is the only switch to "pop" the hatch. There is also a solenoid in the hatch latch.
