1986 Chevy Corvette V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 1986 Corvette. It runs good but wheni gun it around a corner it start to sputter and loose power briefly and than go to normal.I suspect it may be a bad fuelpump?I will change the fuel filter first.I just bought the car a few weeks ago. Any ideas?

Does it do it with more than 1/2 tank? Unless the hose is split between the pump and pick-up, the pump in Vette's is definitly designed not to starve fuel when cornering. Try a manual pressure gauge on a test drive to verify. Those pumps are easy enough to do, comes out through the filler hatch in the back of the car

Most likely a problem with the hose like I mentioned before. If it has a pulse dampener (plastic piece) on the top of the pump instead of a hose, throw it away and install a piece of fuel injection hose, the new pump should come with one. I would personally do th epumpa s well, just due to age and mileage
