1984 Chevy Corvette Fuel pump not working

On the corvette it has a security system. Does the security system have any effect on the fuel pump if it is not working properly. I cannot hear the fuel pump turning on. If it needs a fuel pump can I put a fuel pump in from the top through the fuel filler door.

I had a problem with mine first test your fule pump by puting a hot wire from battery to your ecm under the driver dash bottom row far left that will turn your pump on if it dose not come on and you whant to change the pump yes the fill door comes off and you change it there 20 min job
