1966 Chevy Corvette V8 Two Wheel Drive Manual

I installed a new fuel pump this spring after removing from winter storage. Motor would not start. Unhooked fuel line at carb and discovered fuel pump had failed. Installed same ptno pump AC40083 from NAPA. Mortor started, ran a few minutes, and then the carbuerator overflowed out the vent cap on front bowl. Took carbuerator (Holley 4160) to repair shop and had it rebuilt. After rebuild, the carbuerator behaved the same way. The mechanic told me the pump was producing too much fuel pressure. I have ordered another pump from CORVETTE AMERICA and expecting delivery today.
It ran okay the last time I drove it in November 2008. I appreciate any advice you might provide.

What is the pressure reading?-Carb overflowing could mean a misadjusted float system or a leaking power valve

I must say "I was very disappointed in your response to my problem!" I contributed $10 for your help and basically got very little in return. I even sent a followup question and received no response whatsoever!
I certainly expected more in return. I definitely would not refer anyone to your website, nor would I ever use it again!

How did the mechanic check the fuel pump just because its oveflowing out of the fuel bowl that the fuel pump is defective-the only way to tell is by a fuel pressure gauge

I asked you what was the fuel pressure I need to know this before I can continue to troubleshoot your problem I gave you a few be advised am not a magicman and if you wish request for refund.
