94 Chevy Corsica heater problems

I have a 94 Chevy Corsica 6 cylinder with 132,000 miles. The problem I am having is that I can get heat out of the vents but the defrost will not work. I replaced the climate control panel but still have no defrost. What should I do?

I had the same problem with my 94 corsica. I had a vacuum line split and no longer hold vacuum. This made the heater controls stay in vent position only. Actually what got me started was my cruise control wasn't working so I traced the vacuum line from the cruise control module to the vacuum canister and found the split. When I spliced in a new line I noticed my heater controls were working properly as well. What a nice surprise. Hope this helps.

Step 1 - A heater cannot operate unless the engine is full of coolant/antifreeze. If coolant level is low check the system for leaks.
