Your heater core is probabl leaking coolant. It probably has a funny smell in your car from it as well.

Agree, a crack in the inlet or outlet pipe, happens alot, especially as the plastice becomes hard brittle and the engine torques up when accelerating. You may also associate the engine torqueing up and down to a motor mount that is starting to get bad, just a possibility.
