I have a 1996 Chevy Corsica. It was running earlier today (then I left the dome light on). I went to drive it tonight and on the highway it decided to die out on me. I was thinking it was the battery. Well my bf and I tried to jump the battery, and with the cable connected it ran for about 15 mins. And then it would just die out. Any ideas?

So it does start when you put the cable and jump it but then will die
and if so alternator is no good and not charging
check fuses and check alternator
if crank but will not start check if you have a security light on and blinking then its the key
leave key in the ignition in on position until security light stop blinking and goes out (about 10 min)
let me know

It will start for about 15 seconds with or with out the cables connected. Everything electrical seems to work. I can turn the key and the radio and lights and even the remote starter work on it.
