Computer problem
1995 Chevy Corsica 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Hello;
I have a question relating to a computer code "check engine" on my '95 Chevrolet Corsica 2.2 litre engine. Recently I got a check engine code on the car, drove it to a local automotie store where the odb1 scan was performed. The code is a 27 ; quad driver module was detected. No where have I seen this code explained, no repair manual not even the local store technician knew what that code or remedy is to that code.I would appreciate it very much if you could assist me with what should I be looking into so as to remedy this issue.

Thank You

A quad driver error references to a problem with a particular group of devices on the PCM. The PCM should be grouped into sections by similar devices; however, I am not positive on the grouping. (For Example the ignition circuit could be grouped by the Crank Sensor, Cam sensor, Knock sensor and temperature sensor on a quad driver) You could try taking out the ECU to have a look at i; the most obvious problem would be a dirty or corroded pin or bent pin on the ECU. Unfortunatly, to solve this in its entirety may be out of the realm of a DIY service.
