1991 Chevy Corsica wont send signal to starter from key

My son drove home and parked all was fine then the next morning car would'nt start checked battery conections good checked starter fuse none blown pulled starter works fine all wiring looks good thought it might be out of gear wiggled shifter still nuttin is there some other fuse or switch or?

Reinstall the starter. With a voltmeter, attach positive lead to purple wire on the starter and ground to block. Have an assistant turn the key to start, check voltage. Do you have voltage: YES. Check open circuit on black wire from starter to battery. NO. Check continuity on purple wire from starter to neutral safety switch (transaxle position switch), located rear of engine, on top left end of the transaxle.
