i have a problem with my engine it starts up and goes into gear I give it a little gas and it pops or I guess back fires in the throttle body I was told it could be a sensor if u think thats what it is do you know what sensor it might be

Has the check engine light come on? It sould be a sensor, but without the light, it is hard to determine which one it is. How many miles are on it? Have you done a compression test?
