Easy one for someone who's done it, how do I get this blasted factory shift knob for my man. Trans. Off the shaft? I've tried pulling up, I've tried unscrewing, pulled the console up to look underneath, and saw a hex head bolt that didn't want to budge (and appeared part of the shaft assembly anyway). Any help appreciated!

It depends on what you are doing with it, I had to pull the tranny and after you pull the dust cover up there is a hex bolt to remove the stick portion, it's in there rather tight so you have to use some elbow grease. To be honest I didn't look at the know itself, but when I go to put the tranny back in I'll look for you. Usually there's hex bolt towards the bottom of the knob and some are glued and pressed in. So, your only option may be to cut it off, but I'm not suggesting that, like I said it's all up to your future plans, but also as soon as the parts are in I need I'll look at this better for you and give you a definate answer.
