2005 Chevy Colorado Power windows

The driver side the power window goes down very slowly and sometimes will not go down completly. If I hit the inside of the door panel it will try to go down the rest of the way. The window will not travel up unless it has completed the down travel. The window will travel up normally.

Hi Micmac
Sounds like window regulator gear binding so when you bang on door panel it puts everything in place.
Going up normally makes me think motor is good. The only way to know is pull door panel off and have a look. You will need a door handle clip removal tool any parts house will have.
