My truck won't stay running unless you keep your foot on the gas and when doing so its back firing and shooting flames from the fuel injectors

short each cylinder out by removing plug wires from plugs one at a time. When you find the offending cylinder check for compression, it may be either a bent/broken pushrod or valve spring/valve or burnt valve..
