1979 Chevy Cheyenne parked on a hill trans fluid leaked out

While parked on a incline aprox. 15 min. Trans fluid appeared on the ground dripping from what appeared to be where u-joint &trans. Is this normal for this chevy. When moved to level dripping stopped

Sounds like you need to replace the transmission tailhousing seal. This is the seal where the driveshaft slides into the tranny
