Engine Performance problem
1989 Chevy Celebrity 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 193000 miles
I have had several tech's check my station wagon but they all give me different opinions. I think that if the ECM fuse blows out that it must be the computer. Some say that it's the map sensor, others the cool and sensor and some say the throttle posn sensor. I just don't want to get ripped off. The car gobbles gas like crazy and it sometimes just stops. I have replaced the fuse with a piece of metal so that I don't have to worry about the fuse blowing but it gets VERY hot and stalls every once in a while. I can not run a scan because the computer is not connected to the plug. I think that it has to be the computer. Please tell me if I'm correct.
