Hello, I installed new rod bearings into my Celebrity. They failed the next day, thought it might have been faulty bearings. So I got them swapped out, put in a second set, and now it's knocking again!

I followed everything down to the last detail. Cleaned the new bearings, bearing caps, crank shaft, Used Moly graphite lubricant on the bearings both times, used new oil, torqued everything down to factory specs, and still they fail. Could it be the crank or bearing caps screwed up? Any thoughts appreciated, Thanks!

Sounds like the crankshaft is out of round and tapered that ruined the bearings-you need to mike the journal to determine the correct oversize bearing also you can use the plastigauge method
