Engine Performance problem
1987 Chevy Celebrity 6 cyl Automatic

I have a 1987 Celebrity that has been checked for this with no avail. After driving a whild it shudders and dies. Plenty of gas! I have repklaced fuel filter, air filter. One idea is ignition control module? Where is it?
Any other ideas of why it stalls. I really need help. I cannot afford the expense of a professional repair now.

The ign. Module is inside the distributor. Remove the cap and the screws holding it to the dist. Housing. Be sure to use the module grease that comes with the new module.

You can also have the module tested at most auto parts stores for free. But they usually fail when hot, that is, they will run OK until engine is hot, then fail, when engine cools they will work again.
