Chevy/Toyota Cavalier, 2000, 106000 4 cylinder.

How do I remove the steering wheel from my Toyota/Chevy Cavalier. I live in Japan and before I start into this task I would like to get guidance from a professional.

Thank you, Paul

It should be pretty easy Paul.

First remove the negitive battery cable.

Pull the 15 amp airbag fuse.

Remove the connector position assurance (CPA) from the driver yellow 2-way connector located at the base of the steering column.

Use a T30 torx bit to remove the two screws that secure the airbag to the wheel.

Tilt the airbag down and disconect the connector. Make sure and keep that retainer because it needs to be put back into place.

Remove the horn wire by pushing down and turning counterclockwise 1/4 of a turn.

Then remove the steering wheel nut and install a steering wheel puller and remove the wheel.

Reverse these instuctions and reassemble.

Thats all there is to it.
