Poping noise when making a sharp turn?

Just wondering if it sounds like I might need a Cv joint? On my 2002 cavalier because not everytime but most of the time I hear a Popping noise when make a right hand sharp turn is there any way I can check 2 see for sure if this is faulty?And is it a bitch too repair any comments are helpfull thx.
