This car has 147000 miles on it ran good till yesterday this is a 1991 cavalier 2.2 4cyl the car runs for about 5 min and stalls it will not start back up and the battery is dead we put a new alternator in it and a new battery as well I cant seem to find the problem I thought it might be the map but all the vacuum lines are correctly plugged in if you could help me with this problem it would be greatly help full sincerly yours eric leeper

Have had simular problem with mine, but it just wouldn't start, change whole coil pack assembly, now runs.

Have seen many problems with the coils in those cars. Is the alternator charging? When it is dead, is it lacking spark or fuel?
