Some background:
1. Bought used with a replaced engine.
2. Replaced head gasket last fall.
3. Last month started running hot. Checked fluids -- coolant low.
4. Then burning coolant like crazy. NO white smoke.
No puddles when parked.
5. Have been replenishing coolant daily before driving.
6. Drove Saturday night, no problems. Had filled it.
7. Attempted to drive son to school this morning, and got hot about 5 miles down the road.
8. Parked it. Let it cool. Filled it. Came back home.
9. So much for school. =)
10. Went to refill it.
11. Started it and water shoots out of radiator.
12. Now it won't start.

ugh! Do not really want to invest a ton in this car, but NEED it to get teenagers to school and back.

Advice? THanks!

I have been working on cavs. Along time and if you start the car cold with the radiator cap off and water shoots out of the radiator then you either have a blown head gasket, cracked head creating excessive pressure in cooling system, or you have something restricting water flow.
