2004 Chevy Cavalier Engine Swap

2004 Chevy Cavalier 4 cyl

I am planning on putting an L61 Ecotec in a classic vw beetle. I have figured out tranny conversion, cooling, and mounting issues. My question: If I were to keep ECU, harness, and engine together would I be able to run it in my beetle? How tough will this be. Please serious answers from people who know what they are talking about. Thanks

I think if you know what your doing you should be able to pull it off. If not your opening a can or worms. Keeping the harness with the engine is a very good idea. Make sure you get the correct wiring diagram for everything to keep it all in line
