1997 Chevy Cavalier Engine swap

I have a 97' cavalier with a 2.2l engine w/auto trans. I bought a parts car that is a 98 pontiac sunfire with a 2.4l w/auto trans. What I was wanting to know is if I could swap the engines out and put the 2.4 in the cavalier. And what would I have to fabricate for it to fit, if anything at all.

Two completely different engines. While you may fabricate mounts and other parts, the PCM and harness would have to be swapped.
The 2.4 was offered in the '97, but the wiring would most likely be a nightmare.

You could check with a local junkyard and ask if the 2.2 to 2.4 is listed as an interchangable swap. They have a lot of info on interchangeability.
